Subject: NIA for contractual engagement of Senior Software Developer at New Delhi in Prasar Bharati – reg. Prasar Bharati invites applications from experienced and dynamic persons for engagement as Senior Software Developer on full time contract basis, based at New Delhi.

Qualification and Experience

Required Qualification: B.Tech (CS/IT/Electronics) or MCA or equivalent degree from a recognized university/institute approved by AICTE & UGC.

Essential Skills:

• Minimum 8 years of work experience as a full stack web developer.
• Expertise in at least one programming language, preferably JavaScript, TypeScript, Node.js, Python (Django and Flask Framework), or PHP.
• Proficiency in at least one popular framework such as React, Express.js, Angular, Vue.js, NestJs, Django, Flask, Laravel, etc.
• Sound knowledge of HTML, CSS, Bootstrap, jQuery, and DOM.
• Expertise with database management.
• Understanding of security practices and proficiency in version control systems.
• Team management skills.

Professional Experience: Minimum 8 years’ experience in a relevant field.

Role Responsibilities

• Designing and developing software solutions.
• Coding and debugging.
• Designing and testing applications and processes.
• Troubleshooting system errors.
• Managing database systems.
• Liaising with designers to decide on UI/UX elements (like graphics and navigation buttons).
• Ensuring our software documentation is up-to-date.
• Profiling and analyzing algorithms.
• Providing technical support.

Notes

• The services will be purely on a contractual basis.
• Persons engaged shall have no claim, either implicit or explicit, for absorption or regularization in Prasar Bharati.
• The person will be engaged on a full-time basis and will not be allowed to take up any other assignment during the period of contractual engagement.
• Persons engaged on a contract basis can be assigned additional tasks apart from the specific tasks for which they are engaged.
• The period of engagement shall initially be for two years with an annual appraisal, which may be extendable based on the requirement of the organization and performance review.
• The engagement can be discontinued/terminated with one-month notice or one month’s salary in lieu thereof by either side without assigning any reason.
• No claim of pensionary benefits on account of this contractual engagement shall be admissible.
• Prasar Bharati reserves the right to conduct tests and/or interviews of the shortlisted candidates.
• No TA/DA or any other allowances will be paid for attending the test/interview.
