Eligibility Criteria
Job Description:
The Chief Engineer is responsible for overseeing the construction and maintenance of various civil engineering assets, including:
- Buildings such as station buildings, residential quarters, hospitals, sheds, workshop structures, and goods sheds.
- Water supply and sanitary installations.
- Railway tracks, sidings, and related structures.
- Bridges, including road overbridges and road underbridges.
Eligibility:
- IRSE Officers: Must be working in PML-14 of the 7th CPC.
- Engineering Executives: Must be working in another PSU in IDA scale E8 (Rs. 1,20,000 – 2,80,000).
Alternatively:
- Officers of IRSE Cadre: Should be working in PML-13 of the 7th CPC with 16 years of experience.
- Civil Engineering Executives: Must be working in another PSU in IDA scale E6 (Rs. 90,000 – 2,40,000) with 16 years of experience.
The Chief Engineer will report to the Director (Way & Works) at KRCL.
Pay Scale
Scale of Pay: SAG PB-4 ‘37400-67000 with GP 10000/- As per 7th CPC pay Matrix level -14. Pay and Allowances: The officer will draw pay and allowances as pe DOPT instructions. which would have beer admissible to him/her from time to time on the Railways plus deputation (duty) allowance.
Age Limit
For Deputation: Candidates must be below 55 years of age as of the date of the notification. For Permanent Absorption: Candidates must be below 57 years of age as of the date of the notification.
Application Procedure
- In reference to Konkan Railway Board letter no. 2018/E(O)||/41/1 dated 08/02/2023, the applications of officers working in Zonal Railways/PUs for deputation to Konkan Railway PSUs/Autonomous Bodies and other organizations must be forwarded with the approval of the Competent Authority in the Ministry.
- Therefore, all Zonal Konkan Railway /PUs are required to submit these applications to the Railway Board at least 7 days before the closing date of the vacancy notice.
- KRCL will only consider applications that have been forwarded by the Konkan Railway Board.
- Officers are also required to send an advance copy of their application along with the necessary enclosures via email to dycpo.shailesh@krcl.co.in by 21/08/2024 at 17:30 hrs.
