Call for Applications: Special Public Prosecutors for CBI EOB, Mumbai

The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI), Economic Offences Branch (EOB), Mumbai, is seeking to establish a panel of advocates to handle the trial of CBI cases in various locations, including Mumbai, Kalyan, Thane, Pune, and Nagpur.

This panel will assist in the swift and efficient prosecution of cases that cannot be managed by the branch’s in-house prosecutors. Interested and eligible advocates are invited to apply for engagement as Special Public Prosecutors to represent CBI in these courts.

Eligibility Criteria for CBI Special Public Prosecutors

Applicants for the position of Special Public Prosecutor with CBI EOB, Mumbai, must meet the following criteria:

 

  • Educational Qualification: Possess a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) degree.
  • Professional Certification: Hold an Enrollment Certificate as an Advocate with the Bar Council.
  • Experience: Demonstrated experience in handling criminal cases in Sessions Courts.
  • Commitment: Provide unconditional consent to adhere to the general terms and conditions set by the Government of India.
  • Experience Duration: Have a minimum of 10 years of standing as an Advocate, with substantial experience in criminal matters.

Applicants must submit the following documents along with their application for the position of Special Public Prosecutor with CBI EOB, Mumbai:

 

  • Copies of Educational Qualifications: Proof of LLB degree and any other relevant academic qualifications.
  • Enrollment Certificate: A copy of the Enrollment Certificate as an Advocate with the Bar Council.
  • Experience Details: Documentation evidencing experience in handling criminal matters in Sessions Courts.
  • Consent to Terms: An unconditional consent to work under the general terms and conditions approved by the Government of India.
