Bank of Maharashtra, a leading public sector bank headquartered in Pune with a network of more than 2,270 branches, is inviting offline applications for the role of Chief Compliance Officer (CCO) on a contractual basis. The chosen candidate will be stationed at the Head Office in Pune or potentially at another location based on the bank’s needs.

Qualification Details

Mandatory Qualification:

• Bachelor’s degree in any discipline from a Government of India-recognized institute or university.

Desirable Qualification:

• Postgraduate degree or professional certification in Finance, Risk Management, Legal, or related fields.
• Additional qualifications such as CA, ICWA, CS, CFA, MBA, LLB, or equivalent from a recognized university or institution are preferred.
• Diploma or Degree in Compliance and Ethics or its equivalent is also desirable.

Experience:

• Minimum of 15 years of overall experience in banking or financial services.
• At least 5 years of experience in Audit, Finance, Compliance, Legal, or Risk Management functions.
• Strong understanding of the industry, risk management, regulations, and legal frameworks.
• Ability to align with supervisors’ expectations.

Salary Details

• The remuneration will be determined through negotiations, considering the candidate’s qualifications, experience, and overall fit for the role.
• Compensation will be provided on a Cost to Company (CTC) basis and will not be a limiting factor for the ideal candidate.
• The contract employee will be responsible for their own tax liabilities under the Income Tax Act, with tax deductions made at source.
• The total CTC package will encompass any statutory payments that the bank is required to make on behalf of the contract employee.

Place of Posting

The position / place of posting of candidate will ordinarily be at Head Office, Pune. He / She will be required to visit various zones as per bank’s requirement

• Application Fee + Intimation Charges: ₹1,000.00
• GST (18%): ₹180.00
• Total Amount: ₹1,180.00

The application fee of ₹1,180/- (inclusive of GST) is non-refundable and must be paid via a Demand Draft drawn on any Nationalized Bank of Maharashtra. The Demand Draft should be in favor of “Bank of Maharashtra – Recruitment of Chief Compliance Officer (CCO) Project 2024-25” and payable at Pune. No other payment methods will be accepted.

Selection Process

• Screening of Applications: The Bank of Maharashtra may conduct preliminary screening to shortlist candidates based on their qualifications, experience, and suitability for the role.
• Shortlisting and Interview: Shortlisted candidates will be invited for interviews or discussions. Selection will be based on the performance in the interview.
• CTC Negotiation: Compensation and other terms will be negotiated with candidates who advance in the process.
• Final Selection: The final selection will be based on interview performance. Additional qualifications and extensive experience may be taken into account.
• Process Modification: The Bank of Maharashtra reserves the right to alter the selection process depending on the number of applicants. Meeting the minimum qualifications does not guarantee an interview.
