Eligibility Criteria
(i) Must possess a certificate of competency as a Master of a foreign-going ship issued by the Ministry of Shipping, Government of India, or an equivalent qualification recognized by the Ministry.
(ii) Must hold a Pilot Licence and demonstrate proficiency in handling all types of ships.
(iii) Must have 5 years of experience as a pilot or Master of a foreign-going ship.
Salary
The salary for the Dock Master (Class 1) position in the Marine Department at Chennai Port Authority Recruitment 2024 is in the pay scale of ₹90,000 to ₹2,40,000 (Revised). The pre-revised pay scales were ₹36,600 to ₹62,000 and ₹17,500 to ₹22,300.
